Barnyard Fun
The 2009 Marin County Fair will feature many of our favorite barnyard friends. Those curious about farm life won't want to miss the sheep shearing and cow milking demonstrations. Along with sheep, beef and dairy cattle, goats, award-winning rabbits, poultry, llamas, draft horses and pigs, there will also be a display of "pocket pets" and the Ham Bone Express racing pigs.
You can meet all the prize-winning animals, see the Marin Agricultural Land Trust exhibit and youngsters can tour the Great American Petting Zoo in the Barnyard. Read more.
Before the Fair, take a tour of the Funny Farm, where Noah, Hannah and Max get their chickens ready for the Fur and Feathers competition.
Visit award-winning Samatha Spaletta as she readies her entries for the Dairy Cattle competition.
