Catch the Bus
Golden Gate Transit (GGT) and Marin Transit buses will serve the Marin County Fair. GGT/Marin Transit Local Routes 45, 45K and 49/51 serve the Marin County Civic Center Hall of Justice Arch and the stop at Civic Center Drive & McInnis Parkway. GGT Routes 52, 70 and 80 serve the Hwy. 101 North San Pedro Road bus pads. Marin Transit shuttle Routes 259 and 233 serve the Civic Center Hall of Justice Arch on weekdays. One-way adult cash fares start at $2 for local travel within Marin County ($1 for youth/senior/disabled). Convenient connections to other GGT routes can be made at the San Rafael Transit Center at Third and Hetherton in downtown San Rafael. Free Fair Shuttle
Golden Gate Transit will run a FREE hourly shuttle with a Zero Emissions Bus from San Rafael Transit Center and Smith Ranch Park-and-Ride Parking Lot every day of the Fair, July 1 through July 5.     Come to the Marin County Fair on a bike and you stay lean while the earth stays clean. Marin County Bicycle Coalition volunteers will be on hand to offer free valet parking for bicycles from 11 am to 7 pm near the Main Gate. Considering how long it takes to get through traffic and find a place to park, biking might save you time. Wear comfortable clothes, your helmet, and always practice safe riding.
